22 Year old virgin in AZ
Hey everyone - I've been reading the boards here for for a while, and figured I should probably, finally, sign up and make a post. I'm 22, and never had a girlfriend. Never been kissed, and the closest to a date I've seen was prom. Being a virgin, for me, hasn't quite been my decision. I have a lot of respect for those of you who are a virgin by choice for emotional, sentimental or religious reasons all the same. I'm simply a pansy when it comes to asking a girl out. It seems the only girls I can act myself around are those who are already in a relationship, or girls who, no offense to them, I'm not interested in. Being a virgin still doesn't so much bother me as much as never having had a relationship. I have plenty of female friends, and as cleche' as it may be, many of them have told me I'd be an amazing guy for them if they weren't in a relationship. I'm a Computer Engineering major, so school isn't a whole lot of help when it comes to meeting new girls. In general, I'm not very suave either. I can often times think of exactly what I should say, but since it contradicts my personality, I find I can't say most of it without laughing at myself. To be honest, I don't know if I'm attractive in general, but I have had enough girls I don't know tell me I'm pretty good looking to know I'm not repulsive. Anyhow, I am here for help, I suppose. Best case scenario, I would be able to find a girl here in the same boat as me, able and willing to take all of these first steps with me, and share the experiences together. Aside from that, I'm here for recieve any advice I can, to hurdle this obstacle, or lend any advice I can give to help anyone here do the same. I don't know if it shows my e-mail under my profile.
