Need advise

I meet this girl Tatyana Asaulenko, Odessa Ukraine. On Matchmaker.com. I started the contact with small no emails. We corresponded for about a month that way very slow. Then got a little serious after 2 months and maybe 10 emails I asked to visit her. We agreed on date and she passed the flowers test. It was her in the photos. So is the address she gave me. She got postal letter I wrote in Russian. I created this awesome sounding ultra ego. She turned it down. So I did another one and she turned it down as well saying she has found man she is very interested in. She did offer to interduce my first ultra ego to some of her friends if I told her what she I was looking for. Then she asked for $100 for translor fee and agency fee. There are little signs of scam but just as many that say it is not. HELP Anyone else been at this point. The request was a quick sentence at the end of a long general letter. She does answer 90% plus of all my questions and does remind me when I ask the same question to many times but she still answers it. Same everytime.
Think it is real request of a genuine woman or scam?
Oh yeah, I did send her $20 bucks and did drag out giving her the number. She is asking for the other 80 and sayes she is saving the 20 till I send her the rest.
Looking for suggestions on other ways.

Ceap Jeff

It's a shame to read what you are writing, Jeff. How can one be SO CHEAP? Do you know what Russian hate most of all? Greediness! What a point to open a discussion about $80 to a girl you have been corresponding with so long and made sure she is for real. You sent her $20, oh great, I bet you paid another $15 the transfer fee. Oh my bad, how can you be so f-g CHEAP and you mention the name of your friend on a site like this, you are miserable. It's not surprising you are still alone and can't meet anyone. Make love with your $80!

Cautiousness in not being cheap

Jeff,

I have been in the business all most 10 years now, sincere women will never ask for money. plus a sincere women's pride would not let them do this. This is the second top scam of women. First top scam is send me money and I can get a visa and come see you. Bambino is way off on calling you cheap. I never consider some one being cheap for not being a fool. Even if the $100 was nothing for you, by sending money to these girls promotes scams and fraud. $100 is a half month salary to most of these women. Soon as you do this she will be ask 50 other guys to send her money too. Then all her friends will also join services to do the same. Then these girls will post picture of other girls and work under many different names. So even if $100 in nothing to you, you can perpetuate a problem exponentially. So I ask all guys do not send money for translation, you can use many services to do this and pay for it directly yourself. After 10 years of being in the business I have yet see any one buy love.

Nick, sorry but you ar the one who is off-base.

Nick,

I think you have it wrong. KenAFA's advice to Jeff is right on. Don't send money! Nick, trust is something that is built up over time and if it is given too quickly, then a scam potential is created. I have received, and heard of many other guys receiving, letters from women who ask for money and then try to put a guilt trip on the man - "Don't you trust me? How can we create anything special then?" which is about the same thing as you wrote.

I do agree with you that Jeff is kind of cheap sending someone $20, but I reserve judgement on that move because I don't know the details. Does sound a little odd though.

Jeff, it sounds like she may be the real deal, but understand that how she treats your "alter ego" may be completely different than how she responds to you. The fee may just be her way of trying to make some money by helping you. Nothing wrong with that, esp. when so many foreign guys are willing to part with money so easily as I have read on other posts to this forum and others. These people in Ukraine and other countries see and hear of American men spending $100 bills like they (Ukrainians) spend $5 bills so who can blame them for trying to get some of that "easy money" for themselves. And I'm not talking about scams here - just overpricing because someone is willing to pay. It's human nature (and good business in many ways as well).

Totally unneccessary!

Hey txholydriver, please do not use this forum for personal attacks or name calling. It is just plain wrong and serves no constructive purpose, especially from someone who uses the word holy in his name. Send private messages for this if you have to do it. Otherwise, button up please.

lets set the story strait

jeff was the one calling her a scammer so he attacked her first. i have no intentions of slaming him or defacing him, he should never have used her name for his insecurity. so sorry you took offensive to it. oh and also...my friends gave me that nick name because i get a bit crazy scuba diving..and i need the extra help from above while diving. so forget that assumption. and your the one slaming me so stop telling me to button up..maybe jeff needs to !!! or you!!

set the story straight? read the facts above!

Dear TX,

Read your own words from the previous posts!

"jeff was the one calling her a scammer so he attacked her first" - wrong!- he stated the facts of what happened and asked what other people thought. When I read it, it sounded to me that she was genuine, esp. when he said she answered 90% of his questions and she turned down 2 of his "alter egos". I took from his post that she was A-OK or even better really. He never called her a scammer or concluded that she was a scammer. In fact, his exact words are, "There are little signs of scam but just as many that say it is not. HELP"

"i have no intentions of slaming him or defacing him" ha ha - right! what do your words mean here then? "sorry you got dumped by her but that is life when your a cheap conseded person." that sounds exactly like you are slamming him and defacing him!

...and that, txholydiver, is all that I am objecting to!

Not really

Holy,
I did not call her a scammer I just asked if anyone knew her as a scammer. I am thousands of miles away and have to ask the question. I sent 20 bucks as just a check point why 20 I don't know. You say you are engaged good. Then I hope it works for you. I will continue my search just be careful is all I ask.

Jeff, i do apologize because i was way wrong with her, she is a very professional scam artist and even to the point of being engaged (RIGHT) but she did manage to get a few trips and lots of money out of me. and i am sure she is ripping off lots of men and needs to be stopped, again i do apologize. she now has postings on absolute agency under 2 different names and 2 different countries,,thats only what i have noticed. STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE !!!!!!!!!

TXHolydiver I am so sorry to read about your story of broken heart, when i read it
i almost have tears on my eyes, i think that such girls like Tatyana
are bad vicious persons , because they make other men think that all
Ukrainian girls are scams ! I think your Tatyana was just crazy that
she lost such man like you- she is insane, and you are lucky man
that you are single now and your heart is free for a true woman.
My heart is broken too, my Ukrainian boyfriend left me after three years of
dating and i feel devastated and sometimes think my life is over,
so reading stories like yours shows me that i am am not alone
heartbroken in this world .
