I got a good price ($900) on LOT (Chicago) last September 2005. I am going again in April and have found good fares ($700) on Lufthansa. I fly from Denver so the East Coast should be cheaper. I always look for a schedule without any long layovers, so I am willing to pay a little more.
I will keep anyone interested in travel to Ukraine, updated on what I can come up with for airfare and if anyone has suggestions, I am all Oosh-ke (Ears). I am going to need 4 tickets in the height of the travel season (ouch) for my wife (Ukrainian) and our 2 daughters (one is only 4). This looks to be pretty expensive but we need to go to visit her family. She was actually afraid to return until she became a US citizen with an American passport. Her mom kept telleing her horror stories of women who returned on a green card and faced real problems gettimg back out. For anyone interested, try SCOPE TRAVEL in New Jersey as the specialize in travel to Ukaine. We are alos going to look at getting a discounted fair to London and see if Ryan Air or EZ Jet can connect to Kiev. If I am successful in getting this below $1,400 each (ouch) I will post this info.
