My girlfriend is going a divorce and has a ex that wants to settle for little of nothing. She has the kids, documentation from kids and counselor that her ex has lied to the judge in hearings and now he wants to keep it out of court but doesn't want to give her anything. He has his own business and they own a home and land worth 150k . Her lawyer told her she needs to settle for 30k. That's what he offered her and him keep everything else. She said she would let the judge decide and her lawyer said the judge couldn't make him pay or give her anything if her ex didn't want to. I call bs. Recommended talk to another lawyer. This is in Texas. Advice please from some of you ladies that have been through this. Thank you in advance.
